Permanent Display at Glen Vue, East Grinstead

Following the success of the East Grinstead ‘Then and Now’ Exhibition, the Glen Vue Centre have decided to make a permanent feature of eight of the images in the entrance lobby of the building.

The entrance lobby has recently been transformed into a café and the display of images features prominently as you enter the lobby.

The exhibition compared a series of pictures taken by club members in the 1960’s with those shots retaken by club members earlier this year.

The eight chosen for the permanent display are:

  • Nursing staff at the Queen Victoria Hospital
  • Commuters at East Grinstead Railway Station
  • The high pavement on the High Street
  • Shops on London Road

The project which led to the exhibition was supported by – East Grinstead Museum, East Grinstead Town Council, St Swithun’s Church, and the Glen Vue Centre.

If you have got the time, why not pop in to the Glen Vue Centre and take a look at the pictures and enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee?
