What membership gives you

Membership of East Grinstead camera Club gives you the opportunity to:

• Regularly meet up with people who share your passion for photography and form new friendships.
• Enter Club Competitions that give you an incentive to keep practicing and stretching your photography skills – themed competitions will also give you an opportunity to try something new.
• Receive honest and knowledgeable feedback on your pictures from your peers and guest judges at our competition evenings.
• Learn new techniques in shooting and post processing from experienced members and guest speakers
• Learn new techniques and be aware of new developments in photography through our guest presenters.
• Enjoy Club outings and photo walks.

The Members section of our website, which you can access when you join, has Presentation notes and helpful hints on things like:

• Adding a keyline to an image
• Print Preparation, Mounting and Framing
• Focus Stacking
• Converting a Colour image to Black & White
• How to take Long Exposures

You will also be given access to our Members’ WhatsApp Group which allows you to share and learn from members experiences.

How much does it cost?

There is an annual subscription which is payable at the beginning of the new season.  This covers all weekly meeting costs, usually 30 meetings each year,  as well as refreshments at the meetings.  The subscription is currently £95 per annum and which works out at just over £3 per week.

If you join us part way through the season, then the membership subscription is pro rata to the number of evenings remaining in the programme.

The membership subscription for under 18-year-olds (accompanied by a responsible adult) and those in full time education is £47.50 (50% of adult subscription).

​Joining the club.

If you are interested in joining the club, you may want to try out a few meetings before you decide and that is perfectly understandable.  We invite all our potential members to come along for three evenings, free of charge, without any obligation to join.
