The Club’s first photo walk of the year was held on 21st March .  Seven of us visited the City of London .  “The square mile” provided us with plenty of opportunities for abstract, architectural and street photography .

Our walk took in many of the well known iconic modern buildings – the Gherkin (30 St Mary Axe), the inside-out Lloyds building and Walkie Talkie (20 Fenchurch Street)  as well as the ongoing Broadgate development and many more.  A sunny day gave us lots of opportunities to capture the dynamic mix of architecture in the city, the juxtaposition between ancient and modern  as well as the many  reflections in the buildings of glass and steel.

Further walks are planned for the summer months to such places as Watts Chapel, Brick Lane and Canary Wharf.

The gallery below features images taken during the walk by those whose were fortunate enough to attend.

Thank you very much for organising this Val!
