The General Data Protection Regulation
The General Data Protection Regulation is for companies, clubs and associations that gather personal data. Introduced by the EU in April 2016 – enforcement begins 25 May 2018.
1) Right to be Informed
We hold email addresses and telephone numbers for members. Members consent is given at the point that you elected to renew your subscription. Members can withdraw from this at any time by notifying the Club President in writing. Committee Members additionally have contact details published on the EGCC Website, again they may withdraw from this at anytime by informing the Club President in writing.
We only hold members first and last names, email address, and contact telephone numbers. This information that you have given us to publish is purely a means of getting in touch. We also only collect and hold this minimal information for the purposes or remaining in contact with members.
Additionally we also hold copies of photographs members have submitted, which The Club may use for external competitions, promoting the club (including social media) or other club business. The right of the club to do this is a condition of entry into club competitions and is a long standing rule.
Personal information is not shared outside of EGCC for any purposes whatsoever. Contact information will never be passed to a third party on their request but your permission sought first.
From 25th May 2018 only information (outside of the information listed above) you have expressly given your permission for will be published on the EGCC website.
EGCC has no intention of sharing any personal information at any point in the future with any third parties.
2) Rights of access, rectification, erasure
You have the right to view the personal information that we hold about you. You also have the right to ask us to correct any inaccurate personal information we hold about you or to delete personal information we currently hold.
